Union Pacifics Cima Sub runs from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Daggett, California. From Daggett UP trains use BNSFs line to Barstow and further on to Mojave or Cajon. At Yermo, close to Daggett, UP has a yard. The Cima sub is desert railroading. The highest point is at Cima, and from the west there is a 45 mile long and hard climb to the summit.
Las Vegas (E Sunset Road)Technically I guess this isn't Cima Sub - the location is E. Sunset Road in southern Las Vegas, just south of McCarran Airport.

BarstowBarstow is actually not on UPs Cima Sub, but on BNSFs Needles Sub where UP trains have trackage rights. The line from Daggett to Barstow sees both all trains on BNSFs Transcon + UP trains, this means Barstow is quite busy.
