NS DD-AR (meaning dubbeldeksaggloregiomaterieel) are electrical double decker train sets, developed from the locomotive-hauled DDM-1 double decker sets. DD-AR were delivered in 2 series DDM-2 and DDM-3, and is/was nummered 73xx (3 car sets) or 78xx (4 car sets). From 2009 the DD-AR sets have been through a modernisation proces. Sets numbered 75xx are 4 car sets and sets numbered 76xx are added 2 cars, so they now are 6 car sets. A unique detail is the 3 trucks on the motor units.
